Abstract: Radio star Jackie 'O' Henderson, who recently sold her Woollahra mansion for $13 million and bought a new home in Clovelly for a similar sum, has made a surprising admission about her properties.

The KIIS FM co-host spoke about her career and a few other things on Stellar's Something To Talk About podcast, revealing she missed out on the 'chase' of her career, including being the first home buyer.

She says: Sometimes I think ...... I wish I was back in my 20s trying to buy my first flat. Isn't that weird? It was just a thought I had a few weeks ago ...... I don't know. I've been asking myself why I thought that.

Henderson bought her former home in Woollahra earlier this year, and documents show she made a $13 million profit on it.

The deal dates back to an off-market transaction in mid-January with buyers David and Dalia Schnabl.

Macquarie Bank held a first mortgage on the property, and the Schnabl's obtained a second mortgage on the property from their mother, Jennifer Wohl, wife of nursing home owner Peter Wohl of Point Piper.

Henderson bought the property in June 2020 for $11 million from stockbroker Angus Aitken and his wife, Sarah. Henderson bought the home after leaving the Vaucluse home she shared with her ex-husband Lee Henderson, with whom she split in 2018 after 18 years together.

Henderson will live in Clovelly, where she bought a 1960s home for $13.25 million at auction in March through PPD broker Alexander Phillips.

Henderson also revealed on the podcast what it's like to be a female millionaire who started with nothing.

"I do shy away from talking about money sometimes. I hate showing off my wealth. I always have. ...... I want nice bags and cars and houses, but I don't want to flaunt it," Henderson said.

But (at the same time) I shouldn't be embarrassed about it, so I'm trying to take more ownership of it, Henderson said. As a woman, it's scary to make a lot of money when you're single because a lot of men get scared by it ...... So your instinct is to downplay that feeling.

Henderson remains one of the highest paid media stars in the country. She and co-host Kyle Sandilands signed a contract with ARN in 2019 that is rumoured to be worth $7-8 million per year each until at least the end of 2024.
