Dangar's four-bedroom terrace at 36 Denham Street was guided at A$5.5 million, but sold quickly through PPD's Alexander Phillips.
The gardener and his wife Julia bought the house for A$2.44 million in 2017 but rebuilt it three years ago, with Andrew Burges enlisted to design the house while Dangar worked his magic on the garden. The house has been operating as an Airbnb and has been very successful.
Meanwhile, a five-bedroom home at 30 Denham Street, redesigned by interior designer Chloe Matters, is back on the market two years after it sold for a record-breaking $6.225 million.
Matters bought the semi-detached home in 2019 for $2.7 million and carried out a $720,000 refurbishment before putting it up for sale through Joshua Allen of JT Allen Real Estate.
Allen has remained silent on the buyer, although title records show the buyer was Dale Brett, founder and CEO of data company Flo.
Allen, who has picked up the Plum listing again, is scheduled to conduct an auction on 5 September.
Described as a "Mediterranean-style beachfront sanctuary," the villa boasts three bathrooms and off-street parking for two cars, plenty of natural light, and an open-plan design for the living room, dining room and kitchen.
Glass doors lead to the pool, olive tree views, a built-in barbecue and pizza oven. There is even an outdoor shower.
The kitchen features a centre island bar and high-end gas cooktop.
Four of the five bedrooms feature built-in wardrobes. One of the bedrooms features a built-in desk and is currently used as an office.
The master wing has an en-suite and seven metre walk-in wardrobe.
