Hagemrad, who has been CEO of the UFC gym for the past eight years, will be expanding with his wife and three daughters.
The Marine Parade condo is located in the pet-friendly Bellagio complex, one of the strictly controlled complexes in the precinct.
They recently spent $350,000 to renovate the flat, which was auctioned through McGrath Parramatta agent Ania Aquino on 29 April for a guide price of $1.75 million.
It spans two floors and has three bedrooms and two bathrooms.
The kitchen, living and dining rooms occupy the upper floor, which opens onto a large terrace with an outdoor fireplace. It has a view of the Parramatta River.
The upper floor also has the master bedroom with en-suite and a study.
The flat was bought in 2013 for US$800,000, when the median unit price in the suburb was around US$475,000. According to realestate.com.au, the median price of a three-bedroom unit is now $1.1 million, up 5.3 per cent in the last 12 months.
The last three-bedroom sale in the 2005 neighbourhood was in late 2021, when a single-floor flat sold for $1.2 million.
The Bellagio has a swimming pool and Pulse Club fitness centre, as well as tennis courts.
Hagemrad, who was previously a sports physiotherapist, reckons he can also work out at the nine UFC Gym franchises in Sydney, with more coming soon to Woolooware, McGraths Hill and Newcastle, according to their website.
UFC Gyms was founded in 2009 as the first major brand extension of the mixed martial arts fighting franchise.
