Abstract: Fashion designer Jessica Johansen-Bell, a cast member of Byron Baes' Netflix series, has bought her first property, a block of buildings in the popular celebrity hinterland town of Bangalow.

Kylie Jenner came to international attention in 2018 when she wore a dress designed by Johansen-Bell. Johansen-Bell spent $860,000 on an 800-square-metre vacant lot on the outskirts of town, not far from the Pacific Highway.

The block was last sold in 2016 for $370,000 USD.

The Lismore-born 28-year-old currently lives in Coopers Shoot.

She can proceed with an approved dual residency scheme as a building certificate was issued by Byron County Council shortly after she settled this month.

Approved were a three-bedroom and a four-bedroom dwelling. Presumably, one of the sets is the home of Johnathan Bell and her fiancé Adam.

Johnathan Bell announced the purchase on her Instagram and posted a short video clip alongside @realty's Trent Stana sold sign. The property was listed for $990,000 last year

She told her 34,000 followers: bought my first property.

Bangalore holds a special place in Johansen-Bell's life, where she opened the first boutique of her fashion brand Johansen in 2016, a year after the 146,000-follower venture was launched.

Bengaluru is the hometown of influencer Ruby Tuesday Matthews.

It's the second home of bachelor couple Laura Byrne and 'Matty J' Johnson, who have just bought a $5.2 million semi-apartment in North Bondi. Tamarama influencer Abbie Chatfield bought a quaint wooden villa in 2021 for $1.45 million.

According to realestate.com.au's data, based on 33 sales, the median house price in Bangalow is $1.52 million, down almost 20 per cent from last year.

The median house price in Bangalow topped A$1 million in August 2020, shortly after the nation's economy hit the skids, and then topped A$2 million two years later in the Byron area as a result of the Covidien-induced boom.

Byron Shire Council objected to the filming of the programme and wrote to Netflix to try to stop it.

The 2022 programme follows the lives of 14 influencers as they help each other grow their businesses and social media followings.
