Abstract: Audio kingpin and billionaire Peter Freedman is downsizing his city-front villa in the Potts Point Ikon building, which is clearly iconic for its residents.

The move is likely to be only temporary as the entrepreneur, who owns Rode Microphones, bought the Jenner House, a landmark building in nearby Potts Point, for $30.35 million in May and is currently renovating it.

Just days after news broke that Freedman had put his three-bedroom, 300-square-metre penthouse in the Macleay St building on the market, he bought a two-bedroom, sub-penthouse for sale by Stewart Residential's renowned off-planning expert, Ben Stewart.

The 150-square-metre flat was purchased by Jason Boon of Richardson & Wrench for $8.2 million, with TRG founder Gavin Rubinstein acting as buyer's agent on behalf of Friedman.

Rubinstein is currently working on the sale of the Freedman's larger home with a guide price of $17 million. The home sold in 2018 for $16 million, breaking a local price record.

It has three bedrooms, three bathrooms and three parking spaces.

"This rare offering speaks for itself, with landmark views from two floors in the coveted Ikon building", Rubenstein said.

On the main living level, a spacious entertaining space opens onto an expansive dining terrace with views of Sydney, while the state-of-the-art gas kitchen features a suite of Miele appliances.

The upper level features three bedrooms, each with custom built-ins and access to the balcony.
