Abstract: If you're looking for views, this huge Vaucluse residence has plenty of them. The major attractions of Sydney Harbour are on display, creating an enviable backdrop for this versatile family-style home, which is set on approximately 900 square metres.

According to Luxe Listings Sydney star D'Leanne Lewis, the four-bedroom, five-bathroom home with three-car garage and pool in Vaucluse Rd, Vaucluse was sold at the end of November 2021 for "approximately A$23 million" but ultimately did not change hands.

"Unfortunately, those buyers didn't work out at the time, so we're back on the market," she explains.

It will now go to auction on May 24 with a guide price of A$18 million to A$19 million.

Duncan Thomson, managing director of technology consultancy and recruitment agency The Finite Group, and his wife Verity bought the three-storey house for $6.1 million in 2012.

Lewis says the home's 505 square metres of interior living space is complemented by incredible views.

"Even more rare are the massive proportions and the two street fronts facing one of Vaucluse's most popular streets," she says.

The distinctive facade features a unique curved wall, giving it a striking appearance and attractive circular rooms.

Off the main foyer is a semi-circular reading or music room with a built-in window seat overlooking the water.

Three of the four bedrooms are located on this level, along with a home cinema and spacious entertainment room with wet bar and sliding doors to the outdoor area.

Two bedrooms have their own en-suite and balcony and the third bedroom has a full family bathroom next to it.

Further up the level, the dining room takes pride of place in the curved corner with postcard views of the harbour and city skyline.

The grand open plan living area and modern white kitchen provide ample space for large indoor entertaining and extends out onto a large terrace to better capture the iconic panoramic views.

Also in this upper floor plan is a luxurious master bedroom suite with a private balcony, a large bathroom with a bath and double vanity, and a long walk-in wardrobe.

Outside, the entertainer's choice continues with a large courtyard, landscaped gardens, lush flat lawns and a swimming pool with an adjoining deck.

Other features of the property include a gym, wine cellar, in house storage, poolside bathrooms, reverse cycle ducted air conditioning, security features, C-Bus lighting and push button entry.

The property is within walking distance of the shopping and dining areas of Vaucluse and Rose Bay as well as the waterfront park and ferry.
